For buyers
What exactly does AristoTrade do?
We run your order end to end with verified factories in Bangladesh: we qualify your RFQ, get costings from three factories, manage sampling to an approved golden sample, follow production, inspect inline and before shipment, coordinate documents, and handle claims. We're accountable for the order, and we share the evidence from every stage with you.
How is this different from a buying house?
Three things, all written into our contracts: (1) we disclose the factory's full identity and audits before you pay for a sample or place a PO; (2) no hidden commission, so if anything is taken from both sides, both are told in writing; (3) you receive the evidence from every stage. These are policy choices, not technology, and we've committed to them publicly.
Isn't 6% expensive?
On small orders the percentage barely matters. The $1,200 minimum is the effective price, and it equals 6% at a $20,000 order. Above that you pay a flat 6%. The minimum exists because running an order properly costs us about $640 whatever its size. We'd rather publish that than hide a margin in your unit price. See the fee calculator.
What's your minimum order quantity?
We don't set a single MOQ. It depends on the product and factory. What we do have is a minimum fee of $1,200 per order, so our service makes most economic sense from around $20,000 FOB. Smaller orders are welcome at the minimum fee. Grouping styles into one order lowers your effective rate.
When will I know which factory is making my order?
At quote stage you see an anonymous capability profile. Before you pay any sample fee or issue a PO, you get the factory's full name, location, audit status and Open Supply Hub facility ID. If you'd prefer not to know the factory, we're not the right partner for you.
Do I pay the factory or you?
Both, separately. You pay the factory for the goods directly, by LC or TT. We never hold goods money. You pay our service fee on a separate invoice: 40% on order confirmation, 60% on shipment (Net-30).
What happens if the goods fail inspection?
They don't ship. The golden sample is the standard. If goods fail AQL, rework or replacement is at the factory's cost, and a CAPA (root cause, corrective action, deadline, verification) is opened. If you change the specification, that cost is yours. All of this is agreed in writing before production.
Why are samples paid?
Free samples tell nobody whether a real order exists behind them, and they burn factory time. Paid sampling ($400 per round, adjustable against the bulk order) shows serious intent on both sides.
Will you just connect me and step away?
No. We're a managed service, not an introduction service. We're accountable through shipment and claims. Our contracts include a time-limited non-circumvention clause, but our real aim is to be worth keeping: if you'd be better off without us, our service isn't good enough, and we want to know.
Do you offer credit terms?
Not long ones. We don't offer Net-60/90 on our fee, and goods payment terms are between you and the factory, secured by LC or advance before we commit the factory.
Are you ready for EU Digital Product Passport rules?
The EU DPP Registry went live on 20 July 2026, but the textile rules (delegated act) are expected in 2027, and mandatory passports realistically from around 2028. Footwear sits outside the first textile act. We capture GS1-ready SKU and batch/material data from day one, so connecting later is simple. We won't sell you a passport platform you don't need yet. See our regulatory watch.
Does the EU Forced Labour Regulation affect a small buyer like me?
Yes. From December 2027 it applies to products placed on the EU market regardless of company size. That's why we keep labour evidence on file for every partner factory (declarations, third-party audits where available, and our own random-check records), and why child and forced labour are zero-tolerance conditions of partnership.
Does EU CSDDD apply to me?
Probably not directly. After the 2026 amendment it covers only very large companies (5,000+ employees and €1.5bn+ turnover), from July 2029. We still follow the OECD due-diligence approach, because your own customers may ask for it.
Is Bangladesh still duty-free into the EU?
Yes, for now. Bangladesh's graduation from LDC status is scheduled for 24 November 2026. A deferral to 2029 has been requested and a UN decision is pending. Even if graduation goes ahead in 2026, EU duty-free access continues until November 2029. After that, without GSP+, garments could face 9–12% duty. This is general information. Please confirm with official sources for your market.
For factories & MSMEs
Do I pay to join?
No. There's no fee to apply and no verification fee in our current phase. The buyer pays our sourcing fee. If a fee is ever charged to a factory on an order, the buyer is told in writing.
Will you steal my buyers?
No, and our rules make that structural, not just a promise. Every order carries a permanent "AristoTrade-sourced" or "Factory-own" tag. Buyer information on your own orders is invisible to our sales team (role-based access, audit log, independent annual review).
You'll sell factory software later. Why should I trust you with data now?
That tension is real, and it's why factory software comes last in our roadmap, only after an independent firewall review. One breach would end that business, and we've sequenced everything knowing that.
Do I need a new audit?
Usually not. We accept valid SLCP, amfori BSCI, SMETA, WRAP or equivalent audits rather than repeating them. For RMG factories we check RSC safety status. Audited-tier status is needed for EU, UK and US orders.
Which factories are you onboarding now?
Knit and bag factories in Gazipur, Savar and Narayanganj. Others (home textiles, jute, leather, footwear) can apply now, and we'll contact you when your category opens.
We're a small MSME and have never exported. Can we join?
Yes. First-time exporters are part of why we exist. We're strict on QC, and advances are limited, because one failed shipment can damage the reputation of a whole cluster. That strictness protects you most.
About the company
Is AristoTrade a registered company?
Registration is in progress. We hold a TIN, and RJSC incorporation as AristoTrade Limited is targeted for 31 October 2026, with the trade licence and company bank account alongside. We publish live status on our Trust Center. Paid work begins once the company and its bank account are in place.
How many customers do you have?
None yet. We're pre-revenue and preparing our first orders. We'd rather tell you that than show testimonials we haven't earned. Our founders bring long industry experience, and our Founding Partner Program gives our first three buyers founder-level attention.
Why should I trust a new company with my order?
Because you don't need to trust us blindly. You see the factory before you commit, you pay the factory directly, you get inspection reports with photos before shipment, and our fee is split 40/60 so most of it is paid only after shipment. The structure limits your risk.
Do the founders have other business interests?
Yes. Both are involved in EcoTav, an export business. It's treated as a related party: EcoTav won't sell to AristoTrade buyers, and any AristoTrade order placed with an EcoTav-linked factory is disclosed to the buyer in writing. Details are on our disclosures page.
Are you "the Alibaba of Bangladesh"?
No, and we don't want to be. Open marketplaces earn from listings and ads. We earn a published fee for taking responsibility for individual orders: two inspections and a merchandiser on every order. That's the part open marketplaces don't do.
